Brewing
company
We met with a brewing company with a turnover
of £25 million who had been dealing with the same broker for
many years. The client was reasonably happy with the broker although
had some concerns about their level of pro-activity.
The challenge
After hearing the detail of work undertaken
by the current adviser (or lack of it) it became clear that the
client was not receiving sufficient value from the relationship
and the insurer market was not receiving enough information to make
an informed underwriting judgement. For a business that was growing
and investing in more efficient and safety conscious working practices,
the broker was not keeping abreast of their efforts to risk manage.
Our solution
After a conversation about Alliance,
its risk resources and customer service philosophy the client agreed
to appoint us as their broker and within 1 month we had:
- Carried out risk management surveys of the insured's main premises
and put forward our recommendations.
- Carried out a business survey/analysis which would form the
basis of our sales presentation to the insurer market.
- Arranged to provide Asbestos surveys & Risk Assessments at all
of their 5 locations in order to comply with the Asbestos at Work
Regulations 2002.
- Arranged to write their Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Reviewed their current portfolio of insurances which uncovered
numerous omissions and also displayed areas of dual insurance.
- Reduced their insurance premium by over 50% allowing them to
invest in risk management whilst still making substantial overall
savings.
