Alliance
articles
Ladies and gentlemen.
We are proud to sponsor your lunch.
Or dinner. Or afternoon tea. Or cocktails.
We’re not daft at Alliance. When we sponsor
an event we choose a good one. In this case, “The World’s
50 Best Restaurants 2006”.
Some of us are still getting acquainted with
the treadmill at the gym to recover from our whole-hearted participation;
all part and parcel of our duties as a sponsor, of course.
The winning 50 are listed below. A table of
the top tables, you might say. As you will see, a UK restaurant
came in second, The Fat Duck, dropping one place from last year’s
number one slot.
Alliance sponsored the Restaurant Magazine Reader’s
Choice Award, which was given to Sketch of London. All our congratulations
and best wishes go to Sketch.
We are particularly proud that not only one,
but two of our clients are featured within the World’s Top
50 Best Restaurants. Both London based, St John Restaurant came
in at No 35, closely followed by Hakkasan, in 36th place.
It’s great to hear these success stories
but when your reputation relies on giving your customers an unforgettable
experience, you can’t leave anything to chance. A mistake
in the kitchen, by waiting staff or even a problem with the environment
itself could seriously damage not only your reputation, but your
bottom line too.
The Alliance Restaurant Package is a comprehensive
insurance and risk management policy specifically designed to deal
with the unforeseen eventualities that can affect even the top restaurants,
including cover for Tronc.
Adopted by top restaurant owners and chefs,
it’s a way of helping your customers have an unforgettable
experience. For all the right reasons.

isn’t so unlikely, are you prepared?
A year ago, events in the capital proved that disasters really can
happen. Have we absorbed this genuine risk, though? More than 80%
of London SMEs have neither a written security policy or a plan
of action in the event of a disaster.
