Leading Risk Management Firm to Sponsor
Worldwide Restaurant Awards
One of the country’s top corporate risk brokers, Alliance Corporate Risk Management has announced it is to be a key sponsor in one of the world’s most prestigious awards for restaurateurs.
A leading provider of insurance for eating establishments in the UK, with clients including Jamie Oliver, it will form part of the sponsorship arrangement for the S. Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards 2008.
Voting for the competition, which seeks to find the 50 best eateries around the world, kicks off this month.
Interest in the industry awards has grown dramatically since their launch in 2002. They are now considered the definitive guide to the world’s finest restaurants.
Some of the world’s most renowned food experts form the voting academy, which represents 22 regions around the world. Each expert votes for what they consider to be the five best restaurants in their region.
Alliance Corporate Risk Management, which has offices in London and Bury St Edmunds, has a particular interest in the restaurant industry.
Its rapid growth in this arena is led by director Steve Careford’s passion for fine dining.
Steve said: “We have developed a strong reputation in the food sector and act not only for a number of famous restaurants and bars, but for manufacturers, distributors, breweries and branded chains.
“We recognise that businesses within that sector, be they the farmer supplying produce or the restaurant serving up fine food, all need one another and we are proud to have such a thorough understanding of their requirements and constraints.”
The company’s client list spans some incredibly high profile names in the sector, such as Heston Blumenthal’s famous Fat Duck restaurant at Bray, Zuma, Bouji, Locanda Locatelli, Carluccio’s chain of Italian bistros and River Café.
Steve added: “As a foodie myself, I was thrilled when we were approached to get involved with the awards.
“It’s a fantastic event but also a great way of our company getting the opportunity to emphasise the message that restaurants can benefit from commissioning a broker who really understands the industry and its particular quirks and structure.”
Alliance Corporate Risk Management has a 3 year sponsorship deal with the awards.
